Can I pick up my reservation the night before?
No, unfortunately we cannot hand out bookings before it starts. It is fine to pick up from 07:00 on the day the booking is valid from. ATTENTION! The booking must be available to us within our regular opening hours for this opportunity to be offered. This must be communicated at the time of booking, as bookings are not automatically displayed in the locker. You will receive an SMS with the code sent to you.
ATTENTION! It is important that you check the equipment and that everything is included immediately, if this is the case you collect the booking via one of our agents or have it sent to you. So that we have the opportunity to solve it immediately. We do not pay out any compensation or similar compensation if this has not been reported immediately.

Right to cancel?
You, as a renter, have the right to cancel your booking within 14 days from the time you placed your booking, the entire amount will be refunded.

Already collected, delivered (we deliver 1-3 days before the start of the booking) or sent booking (we send 7-10 days before the start of the booking) are not refunded.
In case of cancellation up to and including three days before the start of the rental period, the entire rental amount is refunded except for the first day's rent (for bed linen, the entire rental amount is refunded except SEK 49/set), regardless of the reason. However, you have the option to rebook your reservation to a later date within 30 days of the original rental date free of charge and subject to availability. Free rebooking can only be used once per booking. If your booking has been sent, it is considered that you have started using the products and cancellation is then not possible.
We do not refund if the products are returned before the end of the rental period or if the rental period is not to be used in full.

How do I book?
You start by choosing the product/package you want to book.
Then you select the date you want your booking to start. Then wait a few seconds before choosing the date you want your booking to end.
Then select size. Some packages also require you to inform us of a possible shoe size or length in the message field at check-out, this is stated in the product text.
You then add the product to the shopping cart.
Then continue with the next product or go to checkout.
Choose whether you want to pick up the product from us, one of our agents or that we deliver it to your nearest postal agent.
Then you just proceed to the payment.
Now you are done!

When do I need to book to have it delivered to one of your agents?
Bookings to be picked up at the store in Åre can normally be picked up within 30 minutes of the booking being made. It is also possible to complete the rental in our store directly. Bookings to be carried out within Åre no later than 16:30 the night before. Bookings to be collected from one of our agents must be booked no later than 48 hours before or after the agreement.

When must the booking be returned at the latest?
Bookings must be returned no later than 18:00 on the last day of the booking.

Do you deliver anywhere other than Åre?
We deliver to your nearest Schenker/Postnord/DHL agent throughout Sweden, Denmark and Finland. ATTENTION! It is important that you choose the right shipping option for the product you have chosen, as some of our products have their own specific shipping options. Or if you have a recipient address in the place you are traveling to. ATTENTION! You yourself are responsible for informing that a shipment is coming from us.

If I'm not sure about the size, I can then change the place. Do you bring more sizes so I can try when you deliver?
As far as we have access, we always try to bring extra sizes if you feel unsure, but that is not something we can guarantee. Feeling unsure about size? Check our size charts, leave measurements in the comment field at checkout or call/email us and we will help you find the right size.
If you pick up your booking at one of our drop-off locations and the size feels wrong, you must contact us directly and we will try to help resolve it so that you get the right size. ATTENTION! We do not issue refunds unless you have contacted us first so that we can help resolve the issue. Either by phone or email (you must have received a response from us).

Will I receive my booking in good time before I go?
We guarantee that your booking will be with your agent no later than the date you have chosen as the start date for your booking. You do not need to take the transport days into account in your booking, we count them in. If, on the other hand, you want a few extra days before departure to try it out, you add them yourself.

When should I submit my reservation for return?
The booking must be handed in to your agent (does not have to be the same agent as where you collected your booking) no later than the day you chose as the end date for your booking. ATTENTION! all products in the booking must be dry before you pack them down, we do the washing. If you return them directly to us, it is ok if the products are still damp/wet.

How do I see what it costs?
The prices you see next to the product are the starting cost. If you then select start and end dates, you will receive a price for the entire booking. We have a higher price for the first day and then a variable tariff per date after that. That price varies depending on the type of product and how long you will have the product.

Do I need to wash the clothes?
No. If you are in Åre, you just hand in the clothes to us and we will take care of everything. If you have had the clothes sent to you and are going to return them, you must make sure that the clothes are dry before you pack them up and return them to us, this also applies to other equipment.

What happens to the clothes after I return them?
All clothes are washed and impregnated after use.

Can I buy the clothes/equipment if I like them?
We offer a discount on up to 7 days' rent if you want to buy the product. ATTENTION! applies subject to availability, we make no guarantee that we can deliver the goods. It only applies to the regular price and cannot be combined with other discounts or offers. For longer rental periods, a separate price will be given if the item is purchased separately. It is not possible to credit already paid rental periods in order to get a lower price. Please note that this is not an installment service. Any shipping or delivery fee cannot be credited.

Is rain cover included when I rent a backpack?
Rain cover is included for all our hiking backpacks. Not for running vests and running backpacks.

What happens if the product breaks?
In the event of damage or loss of any product during the rental period, the lessee will be charged the repair cost as well as any reduction in value or the purchase of a similar/equivalent product. It is important that you check that you have home insurance to help cover if necessary. Unreturned product or that the product has been replaced with a similar product is equated with theft and reported to the police. Products that have broken during the rental period but where the renter does not notify Outdoor Buddies of this means that the renter will be charged the full value of the product.

If I'm not sure which touring ski package I should have, what's the easiest way to do it?
All our touring ski packages work for both beginners and advanced users. But if you feel unsure about which ski to choose, just choose the package called touring ski package. Then you write your height, approximate weight and normal shoe size in the message field, and if you are a beginner or more advanced skier in the message field, we will help pick out the model and height that suits you best.

Is it possible to ride in normal tracks with touring skis?
Yes, the models called Alpina Controll, Åsnes Amundsen Fram QS and Finnmark 54 can be used in normal ski tracks.

How should I think when choosing a tent?
Start from where the tent will be used and for what. We have divided our tents into the categories: touring tent, mountain tent, 4 season tent, lightweight tent and group tent.
Tour tents: Are tents that are adapted for use on campsites, in the forest or under the tree line in the mountains. Works during the spring to autumn season.
Mountain tents: Are tents that are adapted to be used on the mountain during the spring, summer and autumn seasons. Also works in the forest and on the campsite if you want. Mountain hikes with family or friends.
4 Season tents: Are the most advanced and durable tents. They are adapted to be used on the mountain in spring, summer, autumn and winter. Long winter trips.
Lightweight tent: Is the tent you choose when weight is the primary concern. They take up little space in the pack, weigh little. But this comes at a price and that is that you cannot count on them to withstand a surprise snowfall, strong winds or large amounts of rain. Examples of tours: Mountain running with overnight stay, competitions such as BAMM, the OMM etc.

Are snow tent pegs included when I rent a tent in the winter?
Yes, snow tent pegs are included for the tents in winter.

Can you have a dog in the tent?
Yes, it is fine to have a dog in our tents.

Allergies?
If you have allergies or the like, this is no problem. Write in the message field that you have allergies and need, for example, a tent where no dog has been in and we solve this.

So, how do you go about renting now?
Complete package or loose products?

Choose a start date when you want to collect the product from one of our agents/have them delivered to your hotel or collect them from a Schenker/Postnord/DHL/Bussgod agent. We extend the transport time so that you have your order with you, but if you want a little extra time before your trip, you book an extra day.
End date when you intend to return/have them picked up/hand them in with Schenker/Posten/Busgodsombud (a return shipping slip is included in your shipment or it is sent via email). The products must be dry and brushed when you send them back to us.
Add the products you want to include in the booking, select the size and quantity.
Go to the checkout, fill in your details and pay. Now it's just a matter of waiting for your adventure to begin!

Bookings to be picked up in Storulvån/Vålådalen or at Lundhags must be booked no later than 48 hours before the start of the booking. Delivery costs are free for bookings made no later than 7 days before and over SEK 1000 per booking. The booking can then be picked up at the reception/Shop directly in the morning on the date you have chosen for the booking to start. You then leave the booking at the same place before closing.
Normal orders to be sent within Sweden are booked at least 7 days before the desired delivery date. Round trip shipping to your nearest Schenker/Postnord/DHL/Bussgods agent costs SEK 0 (SEK 349 for bookings made within 6 days before the start of the booking) per booking on everything except touring skis/mountain sledges which cost SEK 699.
Express shipping can be booked up to and including 11am the day before you want delivery (except for some postcodes, call us to check so we can deliver to your address). Express shipping costs SEK 999 per shipment.
